What is a baby shower without any food? Is it still a party? Sure it is but where is the fun in not having any food. A baby shower is a celebration for parents, friends and family to welcome a new addition into the world. The parents will get gifts and perhaps monetary funds to help out. Some things can be given when people know the parents won’t be able to afford it themselves.

These parties are generally held in the woman’s last trimester (3 months) although some others wait until afterwards like adoptions or from cultural beliefs. It is generally thrown by the woman’s close friends, relatives or co-workers of the expectant parent. It would be inappropriate for a family member to host the baby shower.
