Women with tuberous breasts may have been told that they will not be able to breastfeed, but that is simply not true. Not all women with tubular breasts have supply issues. You will only know after you have given birth. (Some women with tuberous breasts can still breastfeed twins!)


Tuberous Breasts Explained

In most cases, the size or shape of a woman’s breast has very little to do with her ability to breastfeed. However, in this case, the problems with tuberous breasts are that some have an underdeveloped amount of milk glands. Mothers with tubular breasts may find that they simply don’t have as many milk producing cells as other mothers and therefore experience some breast milk supply issues.

What Do You Do if this Applies to You?

If you happen to have tuberous breasts and are worried amount breast milk supply, there are some things you can do to improve your chances of successfully breastfeeding your children.
