Fashion Show | Aldersgate Village To Host Fashion Show

TOPEKA, Kan. – Aldersgate Village is honoring the accomplishments of all generations of women in its Celebration of Women Fashion Show and Luncheon February 17, 2011 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Wesley Hall in the Manchester Lodge at Aldersgate Village.

Emcee Melissa Brunner, WIBW-TV anchor, and honorary chair Anita Wolgast are hosting the women-only fashion show and luncheon, which will include a three-course meal of salad, exotic gourmet sandwiches and dessert.

“We are excited to recognize generations of inspirational women who have made a difference in our community,” said Leslie Gasser, director of development at Aldersgate Village.

Women of all ages, from four to 94, will be modeling clothes outfitted by Dillard’s in the fashion show. Organizers of the event include Gasser; Tava Weidenbaker, director of marketing and sales at Aldersgate Village; and Patty McGovern Pugh, fashion show coordinator

“As we celebrate the transitions of women through generations, we want to acknowledge life’s transitions and the care we will provide through the Recovery Center,” said Weidenbaker.

The Recovery Center will seek to help individuals discharged from an acute care hospital in need of further care to recover to their highest potential. Operating within the larger community of Aldersgate Village, the Recovery Center will provide short-term rehabilitative therapies and extensive skilled nursing services in an atmosphere designed to cultivate wellness.
