Fashion Show | Fall Fashion Show At Saks To Benefit The Missouri Children’s Burn Camp
FASHION WITH FORCE : “Let’s Give Burns theBoot!,” is the clever name for a fashion show to benefit the Missouri Children’s Burn Camp that will feature boots, shoes, accessories and fall designs atSaks Fifth Avenue on Sept. 22.
The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. in the Designer Salon at Saksat Plaza Frontenac. Sheri Sherman , event chair,said in an email that Saks will donate 10 percent of the proceedsfrom merchandise bought at the store throughout the day to the burncamp.
A highlight of the event is that the models for the runwayfashion show will be campers, counselors and firefighters.
The evening will open with a complimentary wine reception withlight appetizers and desserts from several local restaurants andcaterers, including Brio’s; Deer Creek Coffee; Lafayette FireCompany No 1; McCormick Schmick’s; The Ritz-Carlton; Sugo’sSpaghetteria; and Trattoria Branica.
Among other goodies, beauty consultations — including anationally known makeup artist from New York — will be on hand andflash makeovers will be available courtesy of Dior. The event willfeature a raffle with several unique and unusual items.

Linda Hansen is topper of the burn camp. Shesays it provides kids from 6 to 17 “with the opportunity to forgettheir scars and just be children for one wonderful week eachsummer.”
