Fashion Show | Save Your Marriage – 5 Important Tips How

All married couples have ups and downs (no pun intended) in their married lives and everyone has marriage problem sooner or later. The very first thing you have to do is accept that you have issues in your marriage and vow to take action to make things better. You’ve got to realise what’s going on and take steps to control the situation.

A marriage is made of two people who both took vows to love, honour and respect each other throughout your lives. If both of you are willing, you both have the power in your own hands to press on and work together to build a good marriage into a great one.

5 Important Tips To Help Save Your Marriage.

1. Don’t Panic.

Stay calm and in control of your emotions. A marriage that’s on the rocks is an emotional and fearsome issue but if you panic and lash out you’ll just make it worse. Emotional panic usually has no basis in fact and you’ll frighten your partner too.

Work out and pin point where your problems are and what you can do about them. Are you to blame? Where have you gone wrong? How can you improve and be better? What can you do to make your spouse feel more appreciated?

2. Talk.

It’s sad to see couples who were so in love when they married now barely look at each other and hardly ever speak. A lot of marital issues stem from the lack of communication between husband and wife each failing to tell the other what they’re thinking and feeling.

Talk with your spouse in a calm way and jointly address your issues. Discuss where you each feel restricted or frustrated or angry and what you are going to do about it. Together you can resolve any problems that life throws up.

3. Don’t Beg.

Don’t plead or beg your spouse to stay with you or to return if they’ve already left. Pleading with someone shows them that they have some power over you and that you are the weaker partner in the relationship. You’ll lose your self-esteem and your spouse’s respect. A marriage is a bond of two equals so keep it that way.

Discuss with your spouse why you should stay together or why they should return to you, in a cool and calm fashion. Show your love, compassion, commitment and hopes for the future to the other but stay on equal terms.

4. Me Time.

Give your spouse some space and freedom to live and just be themselves. There’s no law that says you have to be together all the time. You, too, need some ‘Me Time. Just be yourself and enjoy doing the things that make you feel good and strong about yourself. Being yourself puts you at ease and boosts self-esteem and confidence to deal with potential problems.

Remember that you’re both evolving as a couple and as individuals. Peoples interest and likes change and develop as they mature. You’ve got to make allowances for that. I’m a self-proclaimed world authourity on Star Wars. My wife thinks I’m an idiot… but she’s OK with that!

5. Change Yourself.

Everything in life is about choice. You are in this position because of the choices you made along the way. Your life as a whole is as it is because of the choices you’ve made up till now.

You can’t undo all the choices but look back and think where you can change yourself to improve things for both of you. Choose today and choose to be a better friend, a more considerate lover and a more understanding partner.

Remember…

Things are never as bleak as they first appear. There’s always hope, there’s always a resolution. Be positive and take positive action.
