A recently published letter about agarden bench bought on eBay inadvertently appeared under the name of Brian Marshall when in fact itwas submitted by Lesley Kew. Her letter referred to Mr Marshall’s letter published the previous day ( Brief letters: Rabbit pizza , 1 September, page35).
An article about the sources AndersBehring Breivik drew upon in compiling his manifesto listed Frank Field MP among a group of people whom the Norwegian gunman had quoted. In fact, Breivik did not highlight Mr Field specifically; he reproduced in full an article about immigration from the Daily Telegraph, which contained a quote from MrField ( Norway attacks: writer quoted by gunman hits back , 26July,page 7).
An article about Tesco pulling outofJapan said the supermarket openedits first overseas store in Hungary in 1995 and, further, that theonly other blot on its copy book todate is Taiwan. In fact, Tesco made its first foray overseas in the 1980s when it acquiredH Williams in Ireland(although it later sold the business).
