Garden Ornament | Selecting The Right Outdoor Speakers

The great outdoors has a unique sonic space to consider when shopping for outdoor speakers.  There are many factors that can deter from sound quality.  There are no corners or walls to catch and project sound outside, as there are indoors.  In order to attain the best sound quality in your backyard or outdoor environment you are going to need to some research.

First, you are going to want to consider what you are using the outdoor speakers for.  If you are simply making announcements, then you are not going to need to purchase and install a subwoofer, whereas someone who is aiming at listening to music of all genres is going to want to have the full and complete frequency ranged offered by a subwoofer.  There are many different options for your main speakers in an outdoor setting as well.  These options would include in-wall speakers, outdoor speakers in the shape of a rock or ornament, garden speakers and lastly patio speakers.

Patio speakers are the most like a normal set of speakers and are meant to be placed somewhere that is fairly protected from weathering, as they are the most vulnerable.  Being that they are the most like a normal set of home entertainment speakers, they usually will have the best projection of sound and can be aimed just like a normal speaker.  These speakers might be best for someone who has a solid patio enclosure and is looking for the absolute best sound quality in their backyard.

Garden speakers come in all shapes and sizes and usually look like some sort of garden ornament or decoration.  They can be anything from a garden gnome to a plant vase and have speakers built inside.  Great for someone who wants to have music in their garden in a discrete sort of way or for a business trying to conceal their speakers.

Rock Speakers are great for concealment and are often great sounding speakers.  They look just like a small rock and can be placed and angled anyway you like.  They are one of the most popular types of outdoor speakers and there are many options of rocks and design available.

In-wall speakers are made to be mounted into someones home, or patio enclosure.  Or for a business that is looking to wire speakers throughout an outdoor area without having to run cables and power underground.  They are often great sounding to boot, because you can use the entire wall cabinet as your speaker box to help project sound.

In any case, there are a lot of options when purchasing outdoor speaker.  There has been a huge increase in demand because of their versatility and innovations in recent years.  Finding speakers online is always a safe bet because you can really do your research and educate yourself, before you purchase them.
