Garden Landscaping | Power Tools ‘must Be Kept Secure’

Power tools and gardening equipment must not be left outside, police in Tameside have advised.

Out of 24 burglaries in the area over July, six involved the use of these devices to break into a building by forcing open doors and windows .

Sergeant Stuart Alger from the Tameside North Neighbourhood Policing Team stated all equipment used for garden landscaping or other outdoor purposes should be locked into garages, sheds or outbuildings.
