Gardens | Two Indicted In Pornography Bust
MIAMI, Aug. 18 (UPI) — Federal prosecutors have indicted two men for luring young women to Florida where they were allegedly drugged, sexually assaulted and videotaped.
Investigators said in a news release Lavont Flanders Jr., 40, of Miami Gardens and Emerson Callum, 45, of Miami were arrested and charged in a 22-count indictment with conspiracy, attempt to commit human trafficking and human trafficking. Flanders also was charged with drug distribution.
The two were scheduled to appear in court Thursday in the Miami before U.S. Magistrate Ted E. Bandstra.
Investigators allege the two men lured aspiring actresses and models to South Florida for audition. There, investigators said, the women were allegedly required to drink alcoholic beverages that had been doctored with Xanax.
