Patio Garden | Boaz City Council Takes Variety Of Actions At Meeting

The council passed a resolution entering into an agreement with the state regarding the Safe Routes to School program. The state needed documentation re-signed because the governor changed it since the original signing.

Ordinances were introduced to change the zoning on property owned by Randall Pankey on Thomas Avenue from R-5 (townhouse district) to R-7 (patio/garden home district), annexing property owned by Roy Morrow at 960 S. King St. and establishing rules, regulations and procedures for yard sales, garage sales or parking lot sales.

The Pankey property ordinance passed after a public hearing, and the Morrow ordinance also passed. The ordinance on yard sales will be acted on later.
