Patio Garden | Westlake Celebrates Those Who Keep It Beautiful
The Champagne Room was awash in color. Each table was decorated with beautiful arrangements created using flowers freshly picked from Westlake Garden Club members’ gardens.
Mayor Dennis M. Clough presented the awards, which were given out in 25 categories including residential landscaping, patio garden and business.
“We have beautiful people who do beautiful things to keep Westlake beautiful,” said Clough.
The city received more than 100 entries this year. A panel of 10 Cuyahoga County Master Gardeners had the challenge of determining which received honorable mention, third, second or first place.
Quite a few families sat on pins and needles as they waited to hear what place their hard work had earned them. Maria and Codino Samarellis brought their two young daughters and son, who danced when the MC announced
