Virginia Beach jail inmates are expanding their vegetable garden, doubling its size to an acre.
The Sheriff’s office said Friday they plan to that the current half-acre plot will be expanded to an acre. The gardening initiative started last year, giving inmates the chance to plant vegetables and garden on a daily basis.
