Today, a twenty20 match held between Australia and New Zealand, and finally Australia wins the match by 1 run only. Both teams fought bravely for their win but at the end Australian team was a little bit luckier then New Zealand and due to which Australia wins the match. Australian team choose the batting after winning the toss and BJ Haddin (Captain) and DA Warner give a decent opening start to the team. But after scoring 15 runs Haddin goes to pavilion. Then at one down position Ferguson comes to stabilize the team and cricket scores as well. After the dismissal of Haddin, Warner also got out and DJ Hussey comes on the crease. Now the whole emphasis was on Ferguson but he also failed to support the team and he scored only 8 runs and bowled out by butler.

Now the whole burden of the batting lines was on DJ Hussey and on AC Voges, and they supported the team as well by building a partnership of 52 runs. When Australia reached at 104runs, they have to beard one more loss and that loss is of DJ Hussey, who got out after scoring 41 runs. Now once again the balance of Australian team started to shake. On the dismissal of DJ Hussey, JR Hopes came to bat. JR Hopes and CL White scored 16 runs each and take Australia to a reasonable fighting total.

Australia gave the target of 151 runs to New Zealand which was quite easily attainable for New Zealand team. They also have in their minds that the cricket results of this match were in their hands and they could easily take the win for their team. From New Zealand side BB McCullum and MG Guptil came to open the innings but Guptil goes out after just facing two balls and New Zealand had to face the first shock.

But the story doesn’t ends here as just after the dismissal of Guptil, PG Fulton also got out by scoring 1 run only. Fulton was one down batsman and he just failed to support the batting line of his team. After the fall of two quick wickets, NT Broom came to bat. He and McCullum scored 36 and 61 runs respectively and took New Zealand back into the game. But suddenly on the total of 73, Broom got out and GD Elliot came to the crease.

It was a test for Elliot as well and some how he was succeeded in that test as he played a not out knock of 23 runs. When score reaches to 131 and the New Zealand become confident that they would easily won the match, the key player McCullum got out. He played a knock of 61 runs. Then no other batsman could take the charge which can take New Zealand to the victory stand and they managed to score 149 runs on the loss of 5 wickets.

1st ODI between India and SL at Rajkot ” An outstanding Performance!

It was an outstanding performance for Cricket India in the 1st ODI held at Rajkot. It was our Sehwag again with the highest score of 146, just 4 runs left behind from making it 1 and half century. He made it to a total of ’6676′ runs in the history of his batting for Sehwag. He smashed so beautifully to make it 17 fours and 6 sixes. He continued his domination on SL and proved to one of the amazing batsman in the Indian team. It was on their nerves to win over SL by not letting them to chase. India won by 3 runs leaving the Sri Lankans’ behind. They were at 411/8 while India scored 414/7. For those who were the fans of Indian team, their mood would have swung in the last 3 hours as the ground looked almost like a battle field! It became very difficult for the Sri Lankans’ to field when India started to hit crazily. The opening partnership for both the team was just splendid! It was a sensational run chase for the Sri Lankan’s. The Rajkot crowd would have treated their eyes by watching one such marvelous match I must say!!

814 runs with 13 wickets was a remarkable performance for both the teams. This was the 2nd time in the history of the OD1. The spectators had an opportunity to see such one match in the year 2006, after that it was now in 2009. Though India has taken the pride today by having such a victory, the tribute needs to be given for both the teams for scoring more than 800 runs in the ODI.

Virender Sehwag was awarded the MOM. When asked if he was tensed, he said he wasn’t actually and was supporting the Sri Lankans’ as he believes that when he supports the opposite team, then the victory is assuredly for his team.

Sachin could have been more careful. He managed to score 69 runs with 10 fours and 1 six. However he was successful in taking Mathew’s Wicket by a brilliant catch.

Sangakkara was disappointed, still said “It is actually worse when you come so close and lose it like this. I’m proud of the guys though. India held their nerve better than us and in the end they emerged victorious. A bit more effort from us in the field, 3-4 runs and it would have been different. But you have to accept that India were better today. It is heart-breaking for the bowlers to play on grounds like these, but that is the way the world is going at the moment”.

All that Dhoni had to say was “It is quite tough to be cool, when you have scored 400 runs and it goes down to the last ball. The intensity we showed was quite awesome, overall quite pleased with the effort. We could have scored 440-450. If there is a set batsman like Dilshan and if you drop him, you are in trouble. The series will end up being a close one, it will test the character of the guys. Nehra bowled really well, I did not say much to him, he is an experienced guy and knows what to do”.

The game went on mind-blowing in its 49th to 50th wicket. Nehra managed to give only 1′s and 2′s until 49.3 over to the Lankans’ while they required to score 6 to be the victor. At 49.4th over, Nehra and Sachin shared the loss of wicket for Cricket Sri Lanka . Mathew smashed the ball bowled by Nehra straight into Sachin’s hands!! In the 49.5th and 49.6th over Sri Lankans’ managed to hit 2 runs leaving India at its conquest with 3 runs.

At the end of day 3, Sarwan got out on 94 then no other player could resist against the English bowlers and the whole team got out at 285. And England openers came to bat their second innings. Just before the day end England team has to lose their first wicket and that wicket is of their Captain Andrew Strauss. He got out on 14 runs, and after that Cook and Anderson managed to end the day without having any more loss. At the day end, the cricket scores for England team was 31/1. Then the turning day came, day 4 of second test match between West Indies and England, Cook with Anderson came to crease and resumed their second innings. But just after confident start Anderson got out on the ball of Powel after scoring just 20 runs and total of England team at that time were just 69.

After the dismissal of Anderson, OA Shah came to crease but he couldnt perform up to the mark and got out after scoring 14 runs. And at that time England have to bear another loss. KP Pietersen, the man of crises, once again came to crease to defend the shaking building of England Team but he also failed in front of West Indian Bowlers. Just scoring 32 runs, which were much less then the runs that were expected from him, he returned back to pavilion.

Now the burden was on the shoulders of Collingwood and Andrew Prior. Collingwood tried his best but he got out on spin ball of Hinds, he scored 34 runs. Then SCJ Broad came to crease but as soon as he came to bat, just after he left by getting run out. And England batting line was shaking badly and the wickets are falling by regular intervals but England team is satisfied as they have to score as much runs as they can by consuming less balls. So that they can give huge target to West Indies and have enough time to get them out. In this way England can win the test math for leveling the series by 1-1.

England declared their innings after the dismissal of Andrew Flintoff who didnt score any run. England’s cricket results at the time of declaration was 221 and they gave the target of 503 runs for win to West Indies. West Indian batsmen Chris Gayle and DS Smith came to crease to chase the score of 503. Both openers responded very well and gave an opening stand of 59 runs. And at that stage West Indies have to bear their first loss in the form of dismissal of DS Smith.

When the total reached up at 81 Chris gayle, Captain of West Indian team got out on the score of 46. Sarwan came to bat after the dismissal of Smith and still yet on the crease. But the Hinds, who replace Gayle, got out by scoring 6 runs. Then he was replace S.Chanderpaul, known as the wall of West Indian Batting line up, who is still batting on 5 runs. These two are the last pillars of West Indian batting lien up and if English bowlers got rid from any one of them then they are surely at arms length from their victory.

According to Yousuf, he had asked Mr. Zardari to look himself in to the matter of ICL Players as the PCB is not handling the issue according to its nature. ICL players issue is getting more sensitive day by day. Players who have joined the Indian cricket League have been banned from playing their national team. This ban has put bad impact on the performances of the cricket teams as many of good players have moved to ICL.

You can see this difference easily from the scores and stats of the teams by having a comparison with old and new matches. In early days near about every country have put ban on the players who have joined the ICL. But after the Sri Lanka’s full ban removal, Pakistan has also partially removed the ban from ICL players. PCB has allowed the ICL players to play the domestic season after a judgment that was passed by Sindh High Court. But the thing that players want is the complete removal of ban from them so that they can freely play for leagues and for their national team as well.

Yousuf have approached to pattern in chief of board just because he didn’t have anymore trust on PCB. And due to similar reason he along with other ICL players had entered a petition in the Court as well. Mr. Zardari has promised Yousuf and other players that he will look in to the matter by himself and take the decision that will be good for the Pakistan, for the team and for the players as well.
